  3. Capital Gains Tax: If the REIT sells a property, any capital gains realized from the sale are subject to tax at the applicable capital gains tax rate. The tax rate can vary depending on the holding period of the property and the type of gain (short-term or long-term)
  4. Goods and Services Tax (GST): REITs are also subject to GST on the services provided by the manager of the REIT.
